Marilyn (Eyrich) Rhodes

Marilyn E. Rhodes, 94, formerly of Battle Creek, passed away May 17, 2025 in Roseville, Minnesota.

Marilyn was born November 27, 1930 in Bourbon, Indiana to Albert and Faughn (Danner) Eyrich. She was a 1948 graduate of Bourbon High School. She attended one year at Elmhurst College, where she met Glenn Rhodes. They were united in marriage September 2, 1951. She was a former member of the First Presbyterian Church in Richland and Westlake Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek. Marilyn enjoyed volunteering with several organizations: Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, numerous church activities, Galesburg Lions Club, Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, and Binder Park Zoo. She also played her harp in local nursing homes. She enjoyed sewing, making flower arrangements, swimming and hiking. She also loved music, especially when ballroom dancing to it with Glenn.

Marilyn is survived by her children, Deborah Rhodes of Lexington, Kentucky and Norman (Cynthia) Rhodes of Maplewood, Minnesota; grandchildren, Garrett Hodges, Meghan Hodges and great-grandson, Garrison Hodges. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Eldo Rhodes; sister, Madonna Eyrich Kemp and parents.

Cremation has taken place, and Marilyn will be inurned at Memorial Park Cemetery Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. Personal messages for her family may be shared at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
