Marilyn Y. Sherman

Marilyn Y. Sherman, age 92, of Battle Creek passed away on February 19, 2021. She was born January 22, 1929 in Battle Creek to Kenneth and Carma (Dicken) Arnold. She graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1946 and then earned an Associate Degree in Business from Western Michigan University. Marilyn was married in 1948 to Martin B. Coffman, Jr., who preceded her in death in 1975. She married William Sherman, Jr. in 1978, who died in 1994. Marilyn was employed as Office Manager at the Michigan Live Stock Exchange, retiring in 1978. She was a Red Cross Volunteer at Battle Creek Hospital (Bronson) and was a member of the Polish National Alliance. She was a league bowler and golfer for many years.

She is survived by her daughter, Marta (Mark) Kwiatkowski, son, Kent (Sally) Coffman, grandsons Lee (Cathy) Kwiatkowski and Martin Coffman III, and great grandson Lucas Kwiatkowski. She is also survived by step children Rhonda Sherman, Jeff (Robin) Sherman and Kevin (Kathy) DeWitte and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Dara Kwiatkowski and sister, Rose Bivens.
