Marion Caroline Meisterheim, 90, of Battle Creek died peacefully at Calhoun County Medical Facility on February 27, 2019.
Marion was born April 29, 1928 in Michigan City, Indiana. She grew up in Michigan City and Battle Creek and was a 1946 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Marion was employed as a beautician at White's Beauty Shop in the 1940s and 1950s. Marion was also employed in real estate with her husband, Dave at Meisterheim & Associates Realty.
Marion married the "Love of Her Life", David Carl Meisterheim at St. Philip Catholic Church in Battle Creek on June 2, 1951. Marion was preceded in death by David, her husband of 67 years on October 7, 2018. Surviving are their children, Phillip (Kathy) Meisterheim, Paul Meisterheim and Caroline Meisterheim; two grandchildren, Heather (Kevin) Martin and Karl (Emily) Meisterheim; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Marion was also preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Caroline and by a son, Mark Meisterheim.
Marion was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She and Dave were active members of Riverside Country Club for many years. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled in the 1:00 p.m. League at Nottke's. Marion volunteered at Community Hospital and Bronson Battle Creek. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Marion enjoyed traveling, wintering in Palm Springs, golfing and reading. Marion will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and good friend.
Marion's family will receive friends 3:00 â 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, by Rev. Jose Haro at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 61 North 23rd Street, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Committal and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
