Marion Louise (Standley) Nash, 88, of Battle Creek, Michigan died Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Bronson Battle Creek.
Marion was born September 23, 1933 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Vern and Margaret (Reniger) Standley. She attended a one-room schoolhouse and Battle Creek Central High School. Marion was employed as a waitress at the former Grant's Department Store in the Urbandale Plaza. She retired from Dare Products in 1998, after 29 years as a dedicated employee.
She married Delos Leroy Nash on February 2, 1963 at the West Michigan Church of The Nazarene. Surviving are Dee, her husband of 58 years; two daughters, Deborah (Marty) Merritt and Annette (Carl) Olson both of Battle Creek; a son, Ken (Vannesa) Sackett of Lake Placid, FL; a stepson, Delos (Noni) Nash of Yorktown VA.; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren and a sister, Marge (Gary) McKee of Battle Creek.
Marion was a longtime and committed member of Hope Church of The Nazarene. She served as the UAW Union Treasurer while employed at Dare Products. When her health permitted, she enjoyed working in her flower beds and keeping her yard beautiful.
Friends will be received 4:00-6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A funeral service to celebrate Marion's life will be officiated by Pastor Wil Dulworth 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Hope Church of The Nazarene.
