Marjorie Ann Goins

Marjorie Ann Goins, age 80, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Thursday evening, June 14, 2018. She was born in Battle Creek on August 29, 1937, the daughter of Harold D. and Alma I. (Gillons) Osborne. Marjorie retired from the Kellogg Company in 1995 after more than 32 years of service and had previously worked at Mead Brothers Photography for seven years.

Marjorie married the "Love of Her Life", Jasper L. Goins on November 13, 1954; he sadly preceded her in death on June 2, 1990. She is survived by her children, Rick (Dawn) Goins, Debbie Case, and Chris (Susan) Goins, all of Battle Creek; four grandchildren, Christy, Alicia, Sarah, and Daniel Goins; three great-grandchildren, Xavier, Alexis, and Nevaeh; and two brothers, James and William (Linda) Osborne. Marjorie was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jack Case; her parents; a brother, Clarence Osborne; and a sister, Betty Ledbetter.

Marjorie was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club, and a former member of the Eagles Lodge and the Kellogg Variety Bowling League. She enjoyed gardening, dancing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 20th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 21st with Pastor Melany Chalker of Marshall United Methodist Church, officiating.
