Mark Randall "Randy" Rheynard, 65, a lifelong Battle Creek, Michigan resident died unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Randy was born June 2, 1956 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Charles Joseph and Coralee Grace (Greenfield) Rheynard. He was a 1974 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and also was a graduate of the Welding Program at the Calhoun County Technology Center. Randy was known as Mark at work. He retired from Tenneco, formerly Walker Manufacturing, in 2019 after 30 years. He was employed as a welder and later ran a cut-off machine.
Randy was united in marriage to Lori Jean Grafton on November 22, 1985 in Battle Creek. Surviving are his wife, Lori; their three children, Abbigayle Jean Rheynard, Andrew Joseph Rheynard, Sr. and Adam John Rheynard all of Battle Creek; three grandchildren, Tucker James Cuba, Evan Taylor Cuba and Andrew Joseph Rheynard, Jr.; sister, Barbara Nelson of Kalamazoo; two sisters-in-law, Cheryl Rheynard, Penny Russell and several cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Randy was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles Joseph Rheynard and David Brian Rheynard.
Randy loved music; playing guitar and repairing guitars. Most important to him was his family and spending time with them. Randy also enjoyed photography and one of his photos of the river running through Battle Creek was selected as a Chamber of Commerce September calendar photo. Randy will be remembered as loving husband and devoted father.
Friends will be received 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014. A service to celebrate Randy's life will be officiated by Pastor John Grafton at the church, 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
