Mark W. Robinson

Mark W. Robinson, 69, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026.

Mark was born on November 5, 1956, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Beatrice (Codling) Closs. Later in life, he was blessed to gain Lowell Closs as a father, who loved Mark as his own. He was a lifelong Battle Creek resident and graduated from Battle Creek Central High School with the Class of 1975.

Mark dedicated 37 years of service to Meijer.

He enjoyed the simple things in life and could often be found hunting, fishing, boating, watching Jeopardy and NASCAR, while enjoying salt water taffy. As a lifelong resident of beautiful St. Mary’s Lake, Mark especially loved spending time on and around the water. He was also lovingly known as “Frod” by many special friends throughout the years.

Mark is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Cheryl Robinson; his children, Luke W (Heather) Robinson and Chelsea (Austin) Fraley; and his grandson, John W Robinson; and his aunt, Geraldine Codling. He is also survived by extended family, including cousins in Texas and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his aunt, Alice and Edmond Plasczyk; and his in-laws, Gaylen and Emma Gilcher.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where a funeral service to celebrate Mark’s life will be officiated by Rev. Karl N. Strenge 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Committal and interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
