Martha Strumpfer

Martha E. Strumpfer passed away January 29th, 2022 in her sleep. She was 96 years old. Martha was born October 25th, 1925 and raised in South Bend, Indiana.

She met and grew up with Robert Strumpfer whom later married in 1948. Martha, along with Robert, came to Kalamazoo, Michigan to attend and graduate from Kalamazoo College. Martha worked for Gull Lake Community Schools in administration from 1/63 to 6/91. Martha then went on to a second career as an assistant historian at Richland Library from 1993 to 2006.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1997 and her granddaughter in 2018. Martha is survived by her daughter, Rivka (Beckie) of Richland, MI; son Jon of Seeley Lake, MT; Four grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3, soon to be 4, great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at a later date due to Covid-19.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Richland Library, or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
