Marvin A. Natzke

Marvin A. Natzke, age 85 of Battle Creek went to be with his Lord & Savior on Friday evening, January 12, 2024.  He was born in Bridgman, Michigan on March 27, 1938, the son of Hilbert and Dorothy (Schuler) Natzke.  Marvin worked as a pressman at EPI and Gage Printing for more than 50 years, retiring in 2007. 

Marvin married the “Love of His Life”, Margie S. (Robison) Natzke in Galien, Michigan on May 31, 1958; she survives.  He is also survived by his sons, Marvin (Suzanne) Natzke Jr. and Gregory Natzke; a grandson, Timothy Natzke; siblings, Herb (Donna) Natzke, Norb Natzke, Lou (Carol) Natzke; and several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Carol Ann Essig; and an infant brother, Doug Natzke.

Marvin was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Battle Creek for many years.  He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and many friends.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 349 Capital Ave. NE Battle Creek, MI 49017, where services to celebrate his life will begin at 2:00 p.m.  A private interment will be held at Newbre Cemetery, Emmett Township.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Northeast Neighborhood Food Pantry.  Arrangements by Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.  Personal messages for the family and favorite memories of Marvin may be placed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
