Mary Frances Galloup

Mary Frances Galloup, 68, of Battle Creek lost her battle with Esophageal Cancer at home, with her family at her side, on Sunday, July 25, 2021.

Mary Frances was born a New Year's Day baby January 1, 1953, the daughter of Robert Andrew and Mary Margaret "Mig" (Dugan) Galloup. She attended St. Joseph, St. Philip and Pennfield schools; and was a 1971 graduate of St. Philip Catholic Central. Mary attended Ferris State College and later earned her Dental Hygienist Degree at Kellogg Community College. Mary was employed for 35 years as dental hygienist, most of those with Dr. Ken Robbins, D.D.S. and Dr. Steven Caskey, D.D.S.

Mary was formerly married to Leland D. "Buzz" Bacon. Mary Frances Galloup married Clayton William Force on March 11, 2006 at the A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, NV. Surviving are her husband, Clayton; son, Brian Bacon and daughter, Becky (Kailash Iyer) Bacon both of Battle Creek; stepson, Ronald (Jennifer) Force of Battle Creek; grandson, Seth Force; grandcat, Bo; sisters, Ellen (Dennis) Faurot of Kalamazoo, Michelle (Dick Davis) Ferree of Marshall, Lucie (John) Weston of Port St. Lucie, FL; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Kathleen Ann Dils.

Mary loved her family. As her children grew up, she loved attending their swim meets, basketball games, gymnastics, dance and other activities; and more recently her grandson, Seth's hockey games. Mary Frances loved people, she made you laugh, her delivery was perfect and her laugh was contagious. She was a member of St. Philip 1971 graduating class. She loved going to Fire Keepers, traveling, especially up north with Clayton. She enjoyed golfing and had two holes-in-one. She loved her TV crime shows. Mary Frances will be remembered as a kind, warm, loving wife, mother and grandmother.

A private family service to celebrate the life of Mary Frances Galloup will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery 12:00 noon Saturday, July 31, 2021.
