Mary Jane Smith of Holt, MI and formerly Battle Creek, MI
Mary Jane, age 82, passed away Monday February 25th 2019. She was born on December 25, 1936 in Battle Creek to Grant and Gladys (Thode) Spencer.
She worked in Title Insurance for over 40 years and retired from First American Title Insurance in 2005.
She enjoyed spending her time doing jigsaw puzzles, quilting and knitting hundreds of pairs of slippers she made for her family, along with donating many to various charities.
Surviving are a son, Douglas E. (Julie) Smith of Eaton Rapids, MI, her daughter, Melanie A. (Hal) Means of Battle Creek and four precious grandchildren.
The Graveside Service to celebrate Mary Jane's life was held on Saturday, March 2nd in Newton Cemetery with Rev. James L. Sparks, officiating. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek assisted Mary Jane's family with her arrangements.
