Mary Beth Moody

Mary Beth Moody, 71, of Battle Creek, died December 21, 2022. Mary was born October 4, 1951 in Sherwood, MI to George and Barbara (Parks) Guthrie. She worked for the Kellogg Co. & Foundation for many years.

Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School for years. Her faith was very important to her. She enjoyed reading, gardening, photography and baking deserts. But most importantly, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.

Mary is survived by her two sons James (Juli) Moody and William (Jessica) Moody; 7 grandchildren; three brothers, Thomas Guthrie, Jerry Guthrie and George Guthrie and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service to celebrate Mary's life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2022 at the First United Methodist Church. Light refreshments will be prior to the service at 11:30 a.m. and a luncheon will follow the service. Arrangements by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
