Mary T.M. Myers

Mary T. M. Myers, age 92, of Battle Creek passed away peacefully on Monday evening, November 6, 2023.  She was born in Dayton, Tennessee on October 3, 1931, the daughter of Lester C. and Edith E. (Hall) Pickett, Sr.  Mary retired from V.C. Squires Instrument Strings in 1972 and also worked at Meijer for many years.

Mary was sadly preceded in death by her children, Lyndell Myers, Jr. and Rose Marie Green; a great-granddaughter, Kinsley Markle; a sister, Brenda Pickett; and brothers, Lester Carl Pickett Jr. and Chuck Pickett.  She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Diane Myers; her grandchildren, Michael “Mike” (Kristin) Myers, Michelle (Jeff) Huffman-Markle, Melinda (Matt) Maisner, Mason and Morgan Myers, all of Battle Creek; her great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kathryn, Emilee and Natalie Myers, Zach Piercy, Liam, Riley and Mila Maisner, Christian Huffman, Jace Markle; and her sister, Wilma Green.

Mary was a longtime member of the Cornerstone Community Church where she served as the Chairperson of Stewards for many years.  She enjoyed crocheting, reading, taking walks, and loved decorating for Christmas & spending time with her family. 

The family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 13^th at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek.   Funeral services to celebrate Mary’s life will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 14^th in the chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cornerstone Community Church.  Personal messages for the family may be placed here at www.farleyestesdowdle.com.
