Mary Mozelle (Spruill) Coult of Augusta, MI

Mary, age 98, died Wednesday morning, September 23, 2020 at The Oaks of NorthPointe Woods, Battle Creek, MI with her loving family at her side.

Mary, the daughter of Zacariah and Josey (Thompson) Spruill, was born in Heard County, GA on March 8, 1922; was a 1942 graduate of Centralhatchee (GA) High School and moved to this area in 1944. She attended Barry College in Rome, GA, worked at Bell Bomber Plant in Marietta, GA, Eastern Star at Hickory Corners Masonic Lodge #345, Fine Lake 4-H Leader, Professional Seamstress, PTA Kellogg Schools, Barry County Extension Group and Food Coordinator at Kellogg Community College. Mary enjoyed having an annual neighborhood picnic for several decades on the family property.

Mary was united in marriage to Duane F. Coult in Battle Creek on September 22, 1946 and he sadly preceded her in death on October 31, 1999. Surviving are two sons, Richard D. "Rick" (Darla) Coult and William F. "Bill" (Sharon) Coult, both of Augusta; four precious grandchildren, Maggie (Mike) Clark of Acworth, GA, JD (Nicole) Coult of Cleveland, OH, Anna "Mozy" (John) Lammers of Battle Creek, MI, Joe (Lindsay) Sadler of Grand Rapids, OH; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Linda Mozelle Lauderdale on September 4, 2020 and by eight siblings.

The funeral service to celebrate Mary's life will be held on Tuesday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m. in gracespring Bible Church, 8643 Gull Road, Richland, MI 49083 with Rev Kenneth Price of gracespring Bible Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Bedford (MI) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary's honor may be directed to Hickory Corners American Legion Post #484. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel is assisting Mary's family.
