Mary Lee Wright

Mary Lee Wright, Age 91 of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, July 23, 2022. She was born on September 22, 1930, the daughter of Lee and Nettie Summers.

Mary is remembered as a Momma Bear, fiercely loyal and devoted to her family. She was an excellent cook and made everyone their favorite meal. She once won an apple pie contest for best pie ever. She loved her husband Wilbur and was married for 63 years.

Mary loved her life in Kalamazoo and especially when her children visited. Mary was a very lucky person and used her talents at the casino. She always knew what to say to get the last laugh. Mary was known to everyone as "Granny", and will be greatly missed.

Mary is survived by her children, Steven (Catherine) Wright Sr., Greg (Sylai) Wright and Debra Burlingham; her grandchildren, Steven Wright Jr., Ryan (Heather) Burlingham, Randel (Ashton) Wright and Sophia Wright; her great-grandchildren, Farron and Ronin Wright. She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Wilbur William Wright Jr..

Interment will be 1:30 pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Fort Custer National Cemetery 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan 49002.
