Maynard Raymond Cummings of Battle Creek, MI
Maynard, age 76, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI, after being stricken at home.
Maynard, the son of Willis and Myrtle (Hood) Cummings, was born in Manistee, MI on October 5, 1939 and came to the Battle Creek area as a young man. He would often be seen riding his three wheel bike in the North Avenue and Verona area's. Maynard's favorite stops were Save-a-Lot and Family Fare on NE Capital Avenue. He was a good, sweet and kind man. Maynard always saw the good in people; he had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him!
Maynard was united in marriage to Jeri Lee (nee: Finn) Edwards on September 15, 2002 and she survives.
A celebration of Maynard's life will be held on Saturday, September 17th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at his residence. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek is assisting Maynard's family with his arrangements.
