Melva (Wright) Wolf of Marshall, MI
Melva, age 90, died Friday evening, August 24, 2018 at the Grand Vista Assisted Living, Marshall, MI, with her loving family at her side.
Melva, the daughter of Melvin E. and Ellen D. (Kiester) Wright, was born in Whitley County, IN on July 1, 1928 and moved to Marshall in 1955. She was a graduate of Cromwell High School in Indiana. Her and her husband, Bernie founded, owned and operated Wolf's Floor Covering of Marshall from 1955 to 1994. Melva was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church since 1955.
Melva was united in marriage to the "Love of her Life," Bernard M. Wolf in Cromwell, IN on March 14, 1948 and he sadly preceded her in death on July 30, 2015. Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen K. (Russell) Pryor and Michele D. (Bill) Wilkerson, both of Marshall; her son, B. Mark (Deborah) Wolf of Marshall; four grandchildren and four step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Melva was also preceded in death by her parents.
A private, family graveside service to celebrate Bernie and Melva's lives was held in Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall with the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard bestowing military honors. Memorial contributions in their honor may be directed to Oaklawn Hospice. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Battle Creek assisted the Wolf Family with their arrangements.
