Michael J. Babick

Michael J. "James" Babick, 65, of Battle Creek, died December 28, 2016. Mike was born November 2, 1951 in Battle Creek, to Lewis and Bernedia (Snyder) Babick. He graduated from St. Philip Catholic High School in 1969 and received his nursing degree in 1992. He worked as a registered nurse at the Calhoun County Jail and Allegence Hospital in Jackson, among other places.

Mike is survived by his son, Andrew Babick; his daughter, Megan Babick; a sister, Nancy Rothwell; a brother, Andrew Babick and his good friend. He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant son, Joel; a sister, Cynthia; a brother, Barry and many aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Parish Rosary at 6:30 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 6 at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
