Michael Elliott Hack

Michael Elliott Hack, 82, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

Mike was born October 23, 1943 in Battle Creek to Matthew Hack Sr. and Stella Warren. He served his country honorably for several years in the US Navy. He was a skilled repairman and could fix anything. He repaired appliances at Sears for 36 years. He enjoyed metal detecting, bowling and bass fishing. After retiring, he became an avid golfer and spent the winters in Florida. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Mike was united in marriage to Sue Carol Steele on June 17, 1995; she survives. He is also survived by his sons Chris Hack and Michael Hack; granddaughters, Kayliegh, Allison and several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry. He was preceded in death by a sister, Fran and brothers, Stanley and Jim.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held Saturday, August 22, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Cremation Preneed Care, where family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00.
