Michael William Manson

Michael W. Manson, 68, died Sunday, November 11, 2018, at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI.

He was born to William and Betty Manson on May 23, 1950 in Battle Creek, MI. Michael attended Gull Lake School, participated in wrestling and band, earning a John Philip Sousa Award, and graduated in 1968.

Michael worked at Sears, served as Development Director at a Christian school, served in youth ministry, and oversaw major remodeling projects at various area churches. He currently attended Factoryville Bible Church in Athens, MI.

Michael was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Michael is survived by his wife, Karen (Johnson) Manson; son, Daniel (Kelly) Manson, grandsons Brennen and Connor; daughter, Ruth (Matthew) Barrett, grandsons Gryphon and Ryker; three brothers David (Rebecca) Manson, Bruce (Lynn) Manson, and Brian (Laurie) Manson; mother, Betty Manson; and four nieces and two nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Michael's life at 11:00 am Friday, November 16, 2018 at Factoryville Bible Church, 33650 Factoryville Rd., Athens, MI 49011 with Pastor Fred A. Goebert officiating.

A visitation is planned for Michael one hour prior to service time, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Friday.

Friends who wish to make memorial contributions, are being asked to make them to Factoryville Christian School.

Arrangements are by the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave. N.E., Battle Creek, Michigan
