Michael Arthur Russell, age 61, from Battle Creek, Michigan passed away peacefully on March 10, 2022 in Pinellas Park, Florida. He was born in Battle Creek on July 9, 1960 to Virginia and Norman Russell.
Michael received his GED from Lakeview Adult Education and went on to Kellogg Community College where he received a Computer Science Degree. Michael was self-employed and owned a hobby shop, collectables shop and a computer business. He worked several retail jobs over the years. Michael was very involved in the racing community. He enjoyed racing himself, being a part of many pit crews and created the Outlaw Weekly Racing News. He even dabbled in announcing. He enjoyed being a part of racing photography and traveled to many tracks in Michigan and Indiana. He loved music, played the guitar and loved to sing. He had an online radio station for many years. He also enjoyed the casino and spending time with his family.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Norman Russell, his brother Norman Russell, his grandmother, Edith Jacobs and his sister, Patricia Russell. He is survived by his daughters Mandy Allen, Brandi (Matt ) Rugg; grandchildren, Erika Allen, Ryan Rugg, Caleb and Carley Malcolm; fiancé Pam Dawe; his mother, Virginia Russell; siblings, Kelley Russell, Kara Ernsberger, Richard Russell and Gary Pontius and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
