Milan Yezic

Milan Yezic, age 92, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away peacefully from natural causes on Sunday, June 7, 2020, at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence, where he was a brief resident. Milan was born January 25, 1928, the son of Joseph and Hattie Yezic.

Milan graduated from St. Philip Catholic School in 1947 and he attended St. Philip Roman Catholic Church and St. Jerome Catholic Church. After his graduation, he went to work for the Kellogg Cereal Company. While working at Kellogg's he entered the Air Force and served for two years. He then returned to Battle Creek and continued his working career at Kellogg's for 42 years. He was a member of the Kellogg 25-Year Club.

Milan enjoyed time with his family, fishing locally and in Canada, cooking his favorite Croatian foods, listening to music, dancing at the PNA Hall and Croatian Club where he was a member, camping and travelling across the United States. He enjoyed seventeen years of his retirement time in Venice, FL.

Milan is survived by his children, Myra (Steve) Winslow, Celeste (Bill) Etheridge, Lea (Jeff) Reitz, Jennifer Haan, Joseph Yezic, Liz Costin, Billy (Stephanie Klepac) Yezic, Sabrina (Tommy) Gunning and a step-daughter, Sharon Crow of Venice, FL. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and their families. Milan was preceded in death by his parents, spouse Lucille (Seiloff), three brothers and six sisters.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 11, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 105 Capital Ave, NE, Battle Creek, 49017. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 12, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. Internment at Floral Lawn will follow the Mass.
