Mildred Lee "Millie" Gillette

Mildred "Millie" Lee (Rentfro) Gillette, a wonderful Mother, MeMaw, Great-MeMaw, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Friend and Worshipper of God entered Heaven's gates December 19, 2022.

The world was made a brighter place on August 20, 1950 when Millie was born in Battle Creek, MI to her Mother Janithe Rentfro.

Millie married Gary Gillette in June of 2000 and together they loved their family.

First and foremost, Millie was a devoted and loving Mother, MeMaw and Great-MeMaw and she dedicated her life to her family. She leaves behind her son, Jerry Smith Jr. (Jamie Cornwell); daughters, Melissa (Tom) Holder, Dahlia France; sons, Robert (Alicia) Smith, Todd (Kimmy) Smith, and her sisters, Leslie (Marve) Morgan, Bonnie Collins and brother, Rick (Deana) Rentfro; 12 Grand babies and 11 Great-Grandbabies… and a few on the way! Along with many nieces, nephews and friends that she loved dearly.

She has been reunited with her mother, Janithe Rentfro, sister, Glenda Davis, niece, Dorinda Davis, grandson, Nate France and son-in-law, Tony France.
Millie dedicated her life to her family… a great big one at that! Family was everything to Millie. She loved and welcomed everyone. She taught us all to accept anyone no matter what their story was. The most important thing to Millie was to love your family, even when it's hard. She taught us all to forgive and understand that we all deserve love… and she gave it unconditionally. Everyone that was lucky enough to have her in this life was truly blessed.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2022, with Millie's family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle (105 Capital Avenue NE). A service to celebrate her life will be Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Hickory Corners Cemetery.
