Mona Lee "Molly" (Goodall) Montague

April 17, 1929 — September 30, 2018

Mona Lee "Molly" (Goodall) Montague of Battle Creek and formerly of Marshall went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

Molly was born to John and Eva Goodall on April 17th, 1929 in Cass City, Michigan. Molly graduated from Cass City High School in 1947. Molly married her husband, Morris, on September 10th, 1947 in Novesta Township. Surviving are her husband and their five children; Jonathan (Deborah) Montague of Battle Creek, David (Maryanne) Montague of Jackson, Gerald (Darla) Montague of Grand Rapids, Thomas (Jaynan) Montague of Marshall, and Karen (Danny) Fox of Houghton. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren; two sisters Ruth Jaster of Caro, Mary Thayer of Grand Rapids and a brother Phillip (Eileen) Goodall of Kalamazoo. Molly was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren; her parents; a brother, William "Gale" Goodall and two sisters Carol Goodall and Beverly Langmaid.

In Marshall, Michigan, Molly managed the office of Montague Motors from 1969 until 1977 and Montague RV until 1983, both of which her husband, Morris owned and operated. Molly and her husband facilitated the work of missionaries in Mexico while living in the Edinburg, Texas area for 20 years. In addition to making life easier for the missionaries, she found time to make layettes and receiving blankets for the missionaries in Mexico to hand out to those in need. Molly and Morris were members of the associate staff for eight years at Rio Grande Bible Institute, where she handled the media and mailroom distribution. Molly was also active in Alamo Community Church in Alamo, Texas, Battle Creek Bible Church, and most recently as a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Molly knew and loved the Lord. She loved knitting, sewing and crocheting. She was an excellent seamstress, hostess and cook. Molly will be remembered as a prayer warrior and loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Friends will be received 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care; and 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church, where a funeral service to celebrate Molly's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018. Committal and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
