Monica Thuah Ciang

Monica Thuah Ciang, age 68, of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday morning, February 15, 2017 at the Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. She was born in Falam, Chin State, Burma on January 1, 1949, the daughter of Tlun Kap (father) and Hluan Nei (mother).

Monica is survived by her daughters, Regina (Jerome) Aung and Banadeth (Steven) Sang, both of Battle Creek; five grandchildren; and several family members living in Burma. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Battle Creek, the Burmese Catholic Association and the Lumbang Group. Monica loved her church, cooking, and spending time with her family, most especially her grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the St. Philip Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery.
