Myrna Ann (Lee) Warsop passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, 27 April 2025 from Cancer, surrounded by her loved ones at Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo.
Myrna was born on 27 February 1936 just north of Athens, Michigan to Anna Elizabeth (Myers) Lee and Ray Love Lee. She is preceded in death by her mother, father, husband, Daniel Lee Warsop, sisters, Thelma (Smith) Lux, Lois M. (Burgett) Pierce, and daughter Anjanette Marie (Warsop) Toth. She is survived by her son, Bradford Ray Warsop, Victoriana (Aquino) Warsop of Augusta, grandson, Daniel James Toth and Candace (Black) Toth and two great-grandsons of Madison Wisconsin.
Myrna and Dan both graduated from Athens High School in 1954 and 1948 respectively and were married at Athens Methodist Church on 3 July 1954. She was extremely proud of being from Athens and the role of her grandparents in starting the Athens Times newspaper. She also attended every 1954 class reunion for seventy years. Myrna and Dan made their home in Augusta and were both involved in school sports, band and scouting organizations while their kids grew up. Myrna worked for the Augusta telephone company and for Weller Insurance company of Battle Creek for many years.
A private family interment has taken place at the Fort Custer National Cemetery with her husband Dan, who was a Navy veteran. Donations may be made in Myrna’s memory to Kairos Dwelling in Kalamazoo who were so very kind and caring to her in her final days.
