Nancy Bommersbach passed away after a lengthy illness with CIDP and a final battle with cancer during this last year.

Nancy was born in Kalamazoo on February 4th 1947 the daughter of Llewellyn Graham and Helen Bowersox. She attended Milwood Elementary, Milwood Jr. High, and graduated from Loy Norrix high school in 1965. She was very active with school spirit serving as captain of the cheerleading squad in jr. high and captain of the cheerleading squad in high school. She was selected in her senior year as a member of the homecoming court. Athletics were an important part in her life. She loved the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, Lakeview High school baseball and wrestling teams.

During her early years she worked at Doubleday Brothers in Kalamazoo as a secretary and later at Lakeview high school as an office assistant, hall monitor, and cheerleading coach.

Nancy married her high school sweetheart, Tom Bommersbach on June 4th 1966 at Milwood Methodist Church in Kalamazoo. They raised three children, Deanne Krosky, Dennis Bommersbach, and Dustin Bommersbach.

Nancy was an avid Lakeview baseball fan following the Spartans for over 40 years. She helped film and create a video of the entire Spartan season of 2000 with Scott Durham as they won the city, conference, district, regional, and State Championships! Nancy also acted as the wrestling mom for the Spartans never missing a match and bringing food, drinks, and treats for the wrestlers.

Nancy loved bowling, playing for many years as a member of the Pearce bowling team.

Nancy truly loved following her grandchildren in the many activities that they were involved in.   Kalee and Hannah in their cheerleading, Austin and Jacob in their hockey, Maddie in her cheerleading and band, and Malia in her softball and band. Unfortunately, her illnesses in the last years kept her from traveling and watching so many. Nancy's love of the Detroit Lions seemed to spill over to Austin, which Nancy particularly was thrilled with!

She is survived by her husband Tom Bommersbach, daughter Deanne Krosky, sons, Dennis Bommersbach, Dustin (Becki) Bommersbach; grandchildren, Kalee Moore, Austin Krosky, Jacob Krosky, Hannah Krosky, Maddie Bommersbach, and Malia Bommersbach.
