Nancy K. Lubking

Nancy Kathleen Lubking, age 72, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 10, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 8, 1949 in Battle Creek to Dora Drayton. On June 6, 1977 she married Catherine Lubking.

Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She never turned anyone away, even the animals outside which she fed often. She liked to cook and was known for her baked beans. Nancy collected angel statues and loved decorating for the holidays. She liked to shop, including estate sales and auctions and go on car rides counting deer.

Nancy is survived by her partner of 45 years, Catherine Lubking; children, Teresa (Emery) Giles, Jerry Johnson, and Connie (Tom) Hall; grandchildren, Tara, Josh, Chase, Sonja, Jake, and Ayla; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Waylon; mother Dora Drayton; and brothers, David (Jean) Drayton and John (Charlene) Drayton; two nieces and a nephew and an adopted daughter, Anita Light and granddaughter, Deborah Sue.

Nancy's family will receive friends at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Nancy's life will be begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
