Nancy Ann Thomas of Battle Creek, MI

We lost our best friend, sister, daughter, aunt, great-aunt, mother, and grandmother on May 31, 2017. Nancy fought pancreatic cancer for seven long months, and she never gave up. But that's the kind of person she was. She was the third child born to John and Carolyn (Dean) Thomas in 1953 and grew up on the family farm in Eckford Township. Her love of animals kept her busy with 4-H projects and canine training as a kid. After graduating from Marshall High School in 1971, she worked for State Farm Insurance and then Battle Creek Farm Bureau. For 23 years at Farm Bureau, she had many loyal customers who also became her friends. Nancy's sense of humor, generosity and love to others endeared her to her many friends and her family. And she loved a good party!
Her family will host the party of a lifetime in her honor on Saturday, June 10th at the Party Barn of Gary and Ruthann Thomas, 21875 D Drive South, Marshall. Please join us from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Nancy's honor can be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center, Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
