Nicole C. Gates

Nicole Crystine Gates, 27, of Hastings and formerly of Battle Creek died Wednesday, July 23, 2014.

Nicole was born June 28, 1987 in Battle Creek, MI to Ronald A. and Wendy Diane (Adams) Gates. She grew up in Battle Creek, attended Lamora Park Elementary, Northwestern Junior High School and was a member of the 2005 Battle Creek Central High School Class. She was a full time mother, who loved her children more than anything in the world. She had amazing green eyes that always found the best in everyone. Everyone was family to her, cuddling everyone's babies and never wanting to give them up. Nicole loved having fun, getting tattoos and piercings, and cared for every stray animal that came along. Her favorite color was purple and she was always listening to music and would text and email annoying messages with full songs.

Surviving are her loving children, Kirra Jordyn Green, Jayce Kadyn Green and Taryn Scott Green; parents, Ron and Wendy with whom she made her home; brother, Ronald A. (Jessica) Gates II; nieces and nephews, Beth, Ally, Andrew, Tyler, Carson, and April; maternal grandparents, Dave and Linda McClelland, James W. Jones, Arthur and Jan Adams; paternal grandparents, Jeanette Hayes and Jerry Gates; maternal great-grandmother, Bernice McClelland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. She was preceded in death by her cousin April Gates and grandfather Sylvester Hayes.

Friends will be received by Nicole's family 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014.
