Norman C. Hood

Norman C. "Norm" Hood, Jr., age 11, passed away tragically Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Norm was born December 13, 2007 in Kalamazoo to Norman Hood, Sr. and Christina Valadez. He attended the 5th grade at Verona Elementary School.

Norm is survived by his parents and three siblings, Regina Hale, Nevaeh Hale and Jaylone Porter.

Norm loved being outside. He enjoyed fishing, climbing trees and playing with snakes. Anyone who came into contact with Norm fell in love with him and his infectious smile.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 9th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Funeral services to celebrate Norm's life will be Monday, June 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the W.K. Kellogg Auditorium, 50 W. Van Buren St., Battle Creek, MI 49017. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to assist with burial expenses. A luncheon will follow the interment at 3:00 p.m. at 31 Greenwood Ave., Springfield.
