Norman "Norm" Rocho

Norman E. "Norm" Rocho, age 77, of Battle Creek died peacefully at his home on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2013. He was born in Ceresco, Michigan on September 2, 1935, the loving son of Ralph and Audrey (Longnecker) Rocho. Norm retired from the Kellogg Company in 1991 after more than 30 years of faithful service.

Norm married the "Love of his Life", Shirley A. Benfield in Battle Creek on February 12, 1955; she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Vicki Rocho, Tamera (Bruce) Entsminger and Karen (Craig) Bell, all of Battle Creek; his grandchildren, Jason Rocho, Bruce (Monica) Entsminger Jr., Jeffrey Green, Chelsey (Kyle) Branch, Brittnay Entsminger, Cheyann Entsminger, Brody Bell, and his great-grandchildren, Carli Rocho, Jake Rocho, Brayden Entsminger, Isaac Entsminger and Ana Green. Norm was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Richard Rocho, and his sisters, Jackie Nuding and Charlene Moor.

A true sports enthusiast, Norm was a former Golden Glove Boxer, who also enjoyed playing softball & baseball, bowling, golfing, hunting, and loved all University of Michigan and Detroit Sports teams. He also enjoyed playing cards and riding motorcycles with his friends. Norm was also a lover of animals and was always willing to care for a stray cat or dog. He was a member of the Kellogg 25 year club and was an antique car enthusiast as well. A true family man, Norm loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren and his many friends.

The family will receive friends 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 7:00p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate Norm's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2013. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to the Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
