Nykeenia N. "Keenia Bug" Robinson

Nykeenia Nicole "Keenia Bug" Robinson went to be with the Lord on November 5, 2013. She had a peaceful passing at home with her closest family. She was born in Battle Creek, MI on June 3, 1991, the loving daughter Nancy (Dittis) Hall and Nebraska Robinson Jr. (Deceased).

She left behind her grandparents, William & Elizabeth Dittis; six sisters and six brothers, Shamiyha Robinson, Betty (Ryan) Britten, Latisha (Dittis) Heise, and Desire' Taylor, Melinda Robinson and Emma Robinson. Nebraska "Brad" Robinson III. Nebraska (Latoya) Robinson IV, Nebraska "Nick" Robinson V, William Hall and Jock Hall. Nieces and Nephews Fatima and Antonio Jamison, Kam'irin Martinez and Payton Hall. She was a proud Godmother to Te'Myiah Perry and Aaron T. Hals Jr. Godmother Karrie Martinez and Stepmother Joy Kinney. Also several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She had attended Battle Creek Central High School, the Calhoun Area Career Center (21st Century Health Careers Program). She had done many unpaid hospital rotations and had worked at Wendys. She was a class of 2010 graduate. She then attended Kellogg Community College with a focus on pre-medical studies. She wanted to be a medical doctor. She was a loyal mom to her dogs Nickel and Little Bear. She attended Battle Creek Baptist Temple. She believed in and had faith in God. Nykeenia was a wonderful, loving, loyal and generous person. It has been an honor to have been a part of her life. As we grieve the loss of a beautiful (inside and out) daughter, niece, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother and friend, let us remember the happy times and her infectious smile.

A visitation will be held 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home where funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 11, 2013. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan or the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
