O. Lynn Heath of Battle Creek, MI










Lynn, age 71, died Sunday evening, October 19, 2014 at the Lifespan Good Samaritan Hospice Residence, Battle Creek, following a lengthy illness.


Lynn, the son of Roy W. and Bessie M. (Hensley) Heath, was born on June 16, 1943 in Battle Creek and was a lifetime resident. He retired in 1996 as a Pharmacy Technician for the Battle Creek Veterans Administration Medical Center after 32 years of faithful service. After retirement, he became employed by Kambly Living Center of Battle Creek. The residents there became his passion. He dedicated over eleven years to the residents and continued to volunteer after he was no longer employed.


Surviving is his loving daughter, Constance L. "Connie" (Marty) Hawthorne of Bellevue, MI; three grandchildren, Tara L. Pleshe, Jared A. (Nikki) Pleshe and Taylor J. Hawthorne; a great granddaughter, Kairi Pleshe and his sister, Kathryn Rogers of Battle Creek. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Virginia Pryor and a brother, Gerald Heath.


The Memorial Service to celebrate Lynn's life will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 1:30 p.m. at the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home, Battle Creek, with the Rev. Robert G. Muirhead of Battle Creek, officiating. The Heath Family will receive friends one hour prior to the Memorial Service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Lynn's honor may be directed to the Kambly Living Center, 1003 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
