Pamela R. Werner

Pamela Ruth Werner (Goble), age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 19, 2025, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Born on April 11, 1949, in the same city she called home at both the beginning and end of her life, Pamela’s journey was one marked by compassion, adventure, and unwavering love for those around her. Pamela dedicated over four decades to a career in nursing—a calling that took her across the country and into the hearts of countless patients and colleagues. She served as a Trauma RN in Colorado, California, and her favorite place of all—Hawaii—where she found not only joy in her work but the love of her life, Mud. 

Upon returning to Michigan, she continued her service as an ICU nurse at Community Hospital before transitioning to become a visiting nurse giving home care. Her commitment to healing and helping others defined much of her life’s work. Family was central to Pamela’s world. Mud and Pamela married February 6th, 1980, and from there started their own adventure of beginning their little family. She treasured every moment that she had with Mud, until his passing. Moments that turned into sweet memories for her to keep forever. 

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Megan Mead and, as she always said, Most Favorite son-in-law, Anthony Mead; her son, Aaron Werner and daughter-in-law, Heidi Werner; stepson, Jason Werner and his wife, Kristina Dresher; and stepdaughter, Lisa Werner and her partner, Norina Paige. Pamela was a proud grandmother to Allaynna Mead, Hosley Werner, Tharin Dresher-Hurst, Ernest Dresher and Mollie Werner. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest K. Werner; her mother, Lois D. Goble; and father, Dorwin B. Goble. Pamela’s warmth extended far beyond traditional family lines. 

She embraced many of her children’s friends as if they were her own—Brandy Chapman, Hiram Garcia, Omar Garcia, and Bradley Herzog each held a special place in her heart. She kept her sweet Kali Ann Davis close to her heart after she gained her wings . Her love knew no boundaries and left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate enough to know her. Among the most cherished relationships in Pamela’s life was the bond she shared with her cousin Fay Wickens. More than family, Fay was Pamela’s best friend, confidant, partner in crime—the other pea in the pod. Through every chapter of life—joyful or challenging—Fay stood faithfully by Pamela’s side with loyalty, compassion, and unwavering support. 

Outside of work and family life, Pamela found happiness in traveling to new places, visiting Disney world with her family, quilting like her cousin Betty, sewing like her cousin Mary Ellen, surfing ocean waves with youthful spirit, swimming freely wherever water called to her, shopping for treasures big or small, and most importantly—spending time with those she loved. 

Pamela Ruth Werner will be remembered as a devoted nurse, loving mother and grandmother, loyal friend, and vibrant soul whose presence brought light into every room she entered. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A memorial service to celebrate Pamela’s life will be 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2025 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, starting at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial contributions to Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.
