Patricia Ann (Moore) Miller

Patricia Ann Miller, 83, a lifelong Battle Creek resident went to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.

 

Patricia Ann Moore was born August 31, 1940, in Battle Creek to Cecil Edgar and Ruth Caroline (Jones) Moore. She was a 1958 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and was employed at Sullivan Dairy, as a tour guide at the Kellogg Company and for many years at Mutual Savings, which was previously known as People’s Savings & Loan. She was the Crew Chief for the USA Hot Air Balloon team which flew in the 80’s and 90’s. 

 

Pat was formerly married to Allen W. Miller for 41 years. Surviving are their son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer Miller of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Alexander Miller and Caitlin Miller both of Battle Creek; her cousin - like a sister, Jeanne (Paul) Kline of Battle Creek, brother-in-law, Errol (Rose) Miller of Battle Creek; Ryan Holt of Kalamazoo; and the entire Miller, Kline and Holt families. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ruth; and her other cousin - like a sister, Janet (Ryan) Holt.

 

Pat was a life long member of the First Baptist Church in Downtown Battle Creek. She was very active in the church serving as Moderator and was active in the choir and music programs.  Pat loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed the Andy Griffith show and watching sports. University of Michigan Football and NCAA basketball were her favorites. She loved everything Christmas and really enjoyed being with her family at the holidays. Pat was known for her outgoing personality, incredible kindness, caring for everyone, her generosity and the joy that she brought to everyone. 

 

Pat’s family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Battle Creek, where a service to celebrate her life will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024. Committal and interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
