Patricia R. Miller

Patricia Ruth (Steffee) Miller died Monday, July 9, 2018 at the University of Michigan Medical Hospital.

She was born July 13, 1953 to Donald Keith Steffee and Marian (Clover) Steffee and lived in Battle Creek. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School ('71) and attended Kellogg Community College.

She worked as an administrative assistant for the Fort Custer Veterans Affairs Hospital, the Hirsch and Hirsch law firm, the 10th District Court Probation Department, Stetler Vanderveer Realtors, the Michigan Air National Guard and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

In 1975 she married Stephen B. Miller of Battle Creek and had two children, Benjamin A. Miller and Elizabeth A. (Jessie) Read. She had two grandchildren, Emma and Abby Read.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a beloved nephew, Jacob Steffee and an infant nephew, Donald Steffee.

She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and by her siblings Ann (Richard) White, Don (Barb) Steffee, Ellen (Brad) Portis and David (Leslie) Steffee. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Roger) Rossman and Eileen (Randy) Poole and 15 nieces and nephews.

She loved life in general, but particularly loved all of her extended family as they loved her. As long as they live, her memory will not be forgotten.

A memorial service to celebrate Patty's life will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14th, 2018 at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
