Patricia L. (Beebe) Sellers

Patricia Louise (Beebe) Sellers, 81, a lifelong resident of Battle Creek, Michigan, died peacefully with her family at her side at Pennfield Premier Living on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

Pat was born March 26, 1935 in Battle Creek to Harold Don and Floys Nevelyn "Rainey" Beebe. She was a 1954 graduate of Lakeview High School. Patricia was employed for Bostick in Marshall and Visiting Nurse Services until ill health forced her retirement. Pat then graduated from Wright Beauty Academy and was employed as a hairdresser and licensed cosmetologist at J.C. Penney.

Pat married James W. Sellers on December 10, 1955 at Ft. Custer Air Base Military Chapel. Patricia was preceded in death by Jim, her husband of 45 years on March 26, 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Laura Lea (Joe) Brutsche of Battle Creek; two grandsons, Brian Sellers and James Brutsche of Battle Creek; two granddaughters, Amber (John) Rutan of Union City and Cassandra (Jon) Langer of Noorvik, Alaska; two great-grandchildren; brother, Vance Beebe of Raleigh, NC; sister, Linnea (Bob) Hetz of Battle Creek; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Patricia was preceded in death by two sons, Terry and James Sellers; a daughter, Amber Sellers; a grandson, Earl Joseph Brutsche IV; and two brothers, Alan and Lee Beebe.

Pat was a member of St. Philip Catholic Church. She enjoyed sketching with charcoal and pencil, watching anything on TV with cats, reading and watching her husband tournament fish. Pat especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Patricia will be remembered as quiet and easygoing.

Friends will be received 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Simon Chummar-Manjooran at St. Philip Catholic Church 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Inurnment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Tekonsha, next to her husband, Jim and children.
