Patrick Scott Dugan, 50, of Battle Creek, died Monday, July 31, 2017. Patrick was born March 16, 1967 in Portland, OR to Paul and Kathryn (Briggs) Dugan. Patrick fought a long battle with diabetes, facing many surgeries, infections, a transplant, open heart surgery, a pacemaker and ever increasing pain. He collapsed Monday evening at home and was unable to be revived.
Patrick moved with his family to the Battle Creek area in 1972. He attended Harper Creek schools and graduated in 1985. Patrick also attended Howe military academy for a semester and spent a year abroad in Sweden during high school. He then attended Macalester College in St. Paul, MN. Where he earned a Bachelor's Degree.
Patrick spent many years working in the family business before illness prevented him. Patrick loved chess and board games, travel, his cats, his family and especially the deep relationships he kept with friends both near and far.
Patrick is survived by his mother, Kathryn Dugan and his brother, Sean (Amy) Dugan. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Dugan.
