Patrick L. "Pat" "Gilligan" Wilson

Patrick L. "Pat" "Gilligan" Wilson, age 58, of Battle Creek died Monday afternoon, April 20, 2015 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Lansing, Michigan on January 28, 1957, the son of James H. "Jim" and Janet E. (Bradford) Wilson Jr. and graduated from Harper Creek High School with the Class of 1976.

Pat married Jacklyn F. "Jackie" Lazarus in Battle Creek on October 23, 1992; she survives. He is also survived by his step-children, Rex Julien of Mendon, Joseph Julien of Three Rivers, and Rachel (Timothy) Garner of Kalamazoo; 2 grandchildren, Annalisha and Johnathan; his father, Jim (Jo Ann) Wilson Jr. of Battle Creek; 3 brothers, Tim "Pops" (Susie) Wilson of Battle Creek, Michael "Mike" (Denise) Wilson of Battle Creek and Jeff (Patti) Wilson of Battle Creek; his sister, Carolyn Wilson of Toledo, Ohio and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews. Pat was sadly preceded in death by his mother, Janet E. Wilson on February 7, 1989.

Pat was a member of the SW Michigan Iron Coffins and for many years had been active with the Harper Creek Optimist Club and volunteered with the Leroy Township Fire Department. A true outdoorsman, Pat loved fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family & friends, especially his grandchildren.

At Pat's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering to celebrate Pat's life will be held 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the SW Michigan Iron Coffins Clubhouse, 15 Gilbert Street, Battle Creek.
