Patrick David "Pat" Moon

Patrick David “Pat” Moon, age 72 of Battle Creek passed away unexpectedly on June 25, 2023. He was born in Battle Creek on August 1, 1950, the son of William and Barbara (Stanton) Moon Jr. Pat had a great love for cooking and worked at W.K. Kellogg Biological Station and then owned & operated the Sunnyside Family Restaurant in Galesburg for many years. He also enjoyed fishing, gambling (going to the casino, scratch-offs & playing the daily numbers), but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Pat married his loving wife, Laura Moon on September 21, 2010; she survives. He is also survived by his siblings, Bill (Kathy), Susan Moon; son, Aaron (Cyndi) Moon; step-son, Brian (Kimberly) Artis; and seven grandchildren, Annabelle, Zoey, Constance, Katherine, Marcus, Mya and Liam. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Stephen Moon; and a step-daughter, Laura White.
