January 26, 1983 — July 23, 2023

Battle Creek

Paul Jerrell Warren, lovingly known as “PJ” or “Crack” was taken away from us unexpectedly on July 23, 2023. He was born on January 26, 1983, to Diane Wilson and Paul Warren. Raised in Battle Creek, Paul attended Battle Creek Public Schools. He later received his Diploma from Cornerstone Academy. PJ worked in the manufacturing industry, concrete construction, and industrial painting, but his true love was cooking. Not only manning the grill at family functions, PJ owned and operated a food truck for five years. He also worked as a chef at both the Griffin and Umami Ramen.

Paul was known for his contagious smile, his wonderful sense of humor, lending a helping hand and being the life of the party. PJ was also a neighborhood hero on Harvard Street. Always looking out for his neighbors and community. PJ enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, barbequing, riding dirt bikes or 4 wheelers, fishing, playing bartender for family and friends, and cracking jokes. All around PJ embodied the “Pursuit of Happiness”.
