Pauline (Adams) Hamady, 90 of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully in the care of her son, Emil on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Pauline was born December 29, 1934, in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Frank and Persefoni (Panagiotaro) Adams. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1952 and from Parsons Business School in 1953. Pauline was employed at the Inspection Bureau, in the law firm of Stratton, Wise, Early and Starbuck, and later at the Credit Bureau of Kalamazoo.
Pauline Adams was united in marriage to Alfred Hamady on October 18, 1959, in the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church of Kalamazoo. Sadly, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hamady, M.D. on August 11, 2019. Surviving are her son, Emil Hamady of Battle Creek; brother, William Adams; nieces, Persefoni (Donald) Underwood, Evelyn (William) Anagnostapolous; nephews, Frank (Sarah) Adams, Steve (Jayna) Adams, Michael Adams; and several cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews and their families. In addition to her husband, Pauline was also preceded in death by her parents.
Pauline was a member of the Junior League of Battle Creek, past president of the Symphony Women and also a member of the Calhoun County Medical Auxiliary. She volunteered at the Art Center and as a Gray Lady at the former Community Hospital. Pauline was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was active in her Bible study group, church circle, and the Red Hat Society. Pauline very much enjoyed playing tennis and golf. She loved her family, her pets and the companionship of her many friends.
A service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be officiated by Rev. Lorenzo Small, Sr., Lead Pastor, 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the First Presbyterian Church, 111 Capital Ave. N.E., Battle Creek, MI 49017. The service will be Livestreamed at https://www.firstpresbc.org/livestream/ and then scroll down to Pauline’s name.
Pauline’s cremated remains will be placed in the columbarium at Memorial Park Cemetery with her husband, Al.
