Peggy Sue (Hammond) Woodman

Peggy Sue (Hammond) Woodman, age 58, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday evening, May 23, 2021 at the Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence. She was born in Battle Creek on May 1, 1963 and was the daughter of Robert and Ruth (Smith) Hammond. Peggy worked as a stylist at several salons in the Battle Creek area. She enjoyed cutting & styling hair, arts & crafts, and spending time with her family.

Peggy married Jeffery Lee "Jeff" Woodman at the Covenant Church in Richland on May 28, 1983; he sadly preceded her in death on July 28, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her father, Robert Hammond and her mother-in-law, Ilene Woodman. Peggy is survived by her children, Matt (Tracie) Woodman of Albion, Kami Woodman of Battle Creek and Kim (Micah) Aseltine of Nashville, MI; 7 grandchildren, Matthew Moore, Sasha Rogers, Rae, Jeffery, Hope, David Aseltine, and Madison Hunter; her mother, Ruth Hammond; her father-in-law, James Woodman; her sisters, Barb, Shelly, Karen, Rhonda, and Mary Ellen; her brother, Don; and several nieces & nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19th at the New Hope Church, 9300 East D. Ave. (M-89) Richland, MI 49083. Interment will be held privately at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials directed to the church would be appreciated.
