Raymond James Ickes

Raymond James Ickes, 63, died unexpectedly on Friday, February 26, 2021, due to a pedestrian auto accident.

Raymond was born November 15, 1957 to Howard and Betty (Williams) Ickes in Grand Haven, MI and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting. Raymond was also a painter and craftsman who loved working with his hands. He was a strong man that never gave up and loved to cook.

Raymond is survived by his daughters, Monica Lafita and Brittany (Cody) Krehn; siblings, Debi (Ickes) Brownlee, Karen (Hughes) Martin, Mary Lincoln, Mike Ickes and Erica Nichole; and grandchildren, Angelica, Angelo, Charlee and Kinslee. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Ickes.

Raymond's family will receive friends on Monday, March 15, 2021 from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care. A procession will follow to Fort Custer National Cemetery for military honors at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, followed by interment..
