Richard Bruce Geiger

Richard B. Geiger 82, of Sebring, FL and formerly of Marshall, Michigan died Friday, December 29, 2017.

Richard was born October 15, 1935 in Kalamazoo, MI to June and Kathrynn (Grace) Geiger. After high school, Richard served honorably in the United States Marine Corps in which he was active for three years, and was a reservist for seven years. He graduated from Ferris State University with a B.S. in Pharmacy and owned and operated Geiger Pharmacy in Marshall for 20 years, until his retirement in 1998.

Richard married Doris M. Hummel on August 25, 1956. The couple enjoyed 61 years of marriage. Richard and Doris were previous members of Calvary Baptist Church in Battle Creek and current members of Maranatha Baptist Church in Sebring, FL.

Richard is survived by his wife, Doris; their three sons, Michael (Gayle) Geiger, Robert (fiance' Penny) Geiger and Gregory (Rachel) Geiger; eight grandchildren; one brother, James (Donna) Geiger and one sister Mary June Gucma. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Jacqueline McMahon and a brother Donald Geiger.

A private graveside service was held at West Cooper Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 1625 Capital Avenue N.E., Battle Creek, Michigan 49017 or Maranatha Village, 11 Maranatha Blvd, Sebring, Florida 33870.
