Richard Reid "Rick" Zoss

Richard Reid "Rick" Zoss, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan died peacefully at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
Rick was born June 5, 1953 in South Bend, Indiana the son of William Charles and Bette Jeanne (Droege) Zoss. He grew up in South Bend and graduated from Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana. Rick was most recently employed in production and parts assembly at Goodwill Industries of Southwest Michigan.
Rick is survivied by a son, Christopher R. (Suzanne Musch) Zoss of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Steven, Jackson and Lilith Zoss; a brother, James M. Zoss of Battle Creek; three half-sisters, Kelly (Steve) Morgan of Morganton, GA, Jennifer (Glen) Bowles of Morganton, GA and Amy (Joel) Rey; a niece Sarah Zoss of Battle Creek and a nephew Stephen (Kim) Zoss of Bellevue. Rick was preceded in death by his parents.
Rick loved cars and especially taking care of his own and cleaning it daily. He was an avid drag racing fan and attended the National Hot Rod Association U.S. Nationals held at Lucas Oil Raceway over Labor Day Weekend. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered as being stubborn, opinionated, honest and trustworthy. He was always willing to help family and friends. He was true to his upbringing, growing up in South Bend, Indiana, he remained a loyal Notre Dame fan.
Rick will be cremated and his cremated remains will be returned to his hometown of South Bend, Indiana and maybe visit a drag racing track.
