Ricky Eugene "Rick" Gwilt

Our brother, Ricky Eugene “Rick” Gwilt, 69, of Battle Creek, passed away February 28, 2023, at home. Ricky died like he lived “On his own terms”.

Ricky was born December 29, 1953, the son of Wayne McCoy and Betty (Hart) Gwilt.

Ricky is survived by his sisters, Diane (Cole) Byce, Jacqueline (Gwilt) Hart and Anita (Gwilt) (Greg Goins) O’Conner and companion, Janice Gwilt.

Rick is now at peace happily spending eternity with those whom preceded him in death, his wife Roberta (Lehman) Gwilt; their daughter, Nicole Marie Gwilt (who was the Love of his life, his everything); his parents, stepfather, Jack Gwilt and Betty Gwilt.

Ricky worked as a well driller right out of school at Harper Creek for 30 years and as Head Chef for “Some Place Else” restaurant.

Ricky enjoyed working around his home, tinkering in his garage, gardening, mowing, fixing things, and always keeping his fire pit going.

A wake will be scheduled at a later date for Ricky.
