Robert Aaron Dewey was born January 16, 1942, to Raymond and Margaret (Kennedy) Dewey in Chicago, Illinois. Robert passed with grace and peace surrounded by his family into the arms of Jesus, on February 23, 2021.
Bob spent 43 years at Albion Machine and Tool Company as a tool and die maker; retiring in May, 2005. He considered himself blessed to work all his life at a job he loved. Bob collected and restored Maytag gas engines and made several models in his home machine shop. He is survived by his wife Sharon of 51 years, 10 months; his brothers, James Dewey and Salvatore Costa, sister, Maryann Wickersham, brother-in-law, Frank Hardwick (Ellen), sister-in-law, Glenda Rosenau (Brett), many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, all much loved. He is survived by his loving children, Robert Joseph Dewey, David Edward Dewey (Stephanie), Thomas Sinclair Dewey (Teresa), Anthony Scott Dewey, Ana Marie Dewey, Andrew Aaron Dewey, Ron El Alexander Dewey, Damien Geovanni Dewey, Kitana Cierra Ann Dewey; Grandchildren, Nyana Noel Mandoka, Aniya Lillian Mandoka, Eleon James Mandoka, Han Geol Robert Dewey. He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Margaret Dewey, stepmother Genevieve Dewey, sisters, Mary Pat Dewey and Marlene Costa Dewey.
Family will receive friends on March 2, 2021, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., at Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Battle Creek. A Rosary will be said at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM and may be viewed at https://vimeo.com/519196772.
