Robert D. Eager, Jr. age 72, of Richland passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. 
 

Bob was born July 21, 1951, to Robert, Sr. and Frances (Burton) Eager. Bob retired from The Upjohn Company in 2006 after 35 years, where he spent a majority of his career as a plumber/pipefitter. Bob was a devout family man who especially enjoyed his children and granddaughter. He was an outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and golf with family and friends. Bob valued spending time at his cabin up north, enjoying lake life and sunset pontoon cruises.
 

Bob was happily married to Judy (Miller) Eager for nearly 52 years, raising two daughters and a few good Labrador Retriever friends. Surviving Bob are his children, Shannon Eager of Richland, Sara (Jef) Fennema of Richland, brother Thomas (Connie) Eager of Comstock, sister Marsha (Al) Kirsch of Mattawan, granddaughter Elizabeth Fennema, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents.
 

Bob will be honored with a celebration of life service on Thursday, October 12, 1:00pm, at Farley Estes Dowdle, 9170 East D Ave., Richland, followed by interment at Prairie Home Cemetery in Richland. Afterwards, family and friends are invited to The Dock at Bayview, 12504 East D Ave., Richland, for a time of sharing hugs and memories about Bob.
